Don't be Scared to Ask Questions If you are new to dance or are looking to switch schools look for credentials.

If a school is advertising their teaching credentials they must, by the laws of the associations, be displayed in their studio and still be a paid-in-full, active member.

You can also ask for a phone number or email address to check the credentials of the teacher. If you are trusting us with your children you should be fully aware of our training.

DO NOT BE FOOLED It takes years of training to achieve a teachers certificate in dance. It is also against all by-laws of associations to falsely advertise credentials, not to mention very unethical to lie.

If you are entering into a school with student teachers, ask for exam documentation on their training.

Anyone can get up and give a dance class, but the truly skilled and properly trained can teach one.
